I have seen Searching for Bobby Fisher, King of Kong, and Serenity, but I'm going to have to check out the rest of these: "Suggestions and Hidden Gems!" from a new Netflix fan blog whose focus is on Netflix Streaming.
Thanks for linking to me, I really appreciate it! I'm really trying hard to do my best to figure out the movies that Netflix isn't regularly suggesting to people, and let them know what they're missing!
What a great list! Thanks for posting. Already, the three mentioned by Becky are fantastic (and family friendly): Searching for Bobby Fischer is one of my all-time top faves. I could watch it again and again. King of Kong was watched with my kids and I just in the past year or two. We all enjoyed it quite a bit, and it gave new interest when we go to the Pinball Hall of Fame museum here in Las Vegas (http://www.pinballhall.org/) where they have MANY of the old arcade games.
Finally, Serenity. I never saw the TV series Firefly, but didn't need to. Watching this movie was totally self contained with action, plot, and more action! Fantastic!
Others on the list, that should be MUST-sees are the Iron Giant, Contact, and the Count of Monte Cristo. (I'm assuming most everyone has already seen A League of Their Own and Air Force One (great popcorn movie).
