Now you can drag and drop movies in your queue

Netflix has made it possible for you to change the position of your movies in your queue just by dragging and dropping them. You have to put your pointer over the movie until it turns into a little grippy-hand. Then you can click and drag the movie to a new queue position. Or you can still sort them by changing the movie's number and clicking the "update your queue" button.

I'm glad that the Netflix Web site announced this new feature, instead of waiting for us to figure it out.

  1. I don't see this feature. Perhaps it's not Firefox-friendly?

  2. Tried in Firefox; nope.
    Tried in IE7; nope.
Didn't see an announcement either; perhaps only certain "beta" users/members are able to access this feature at this time? Gosh, little things like this go a long way towards making the Netflix experience even better. Looking forward to being able to do this.

  3. Yeah, they are probably rolling it out slowly. As soon as I can do this, and they make Watch Now for Mac, and they improve the friends feature a bit more, the site will be pretty much perfect.

I think it's more important now than ever before that they differentiate themselves with an excellent website. Blockbuster is offering stiffer and stiffer competition, so they need to highlight their (many) better points.

Blockbuster does, of course, have drag and drop, but I can't say I'm a big fan of the interface.
