Netflix-branded movies

Pt posts a photo on Flickr with the comment, "weird, did anyone notice that netflix is putting their brand on the menus and physical dvds?"

Perhaps it's because Netflix has a special distribution deal which allows them to have the film early. You can rent it there now. Whereas, Amazon.com has the same movie, Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine, with a release date of May 31, 2005.

Another possibility is that it's a leftover from the Independent Spirit Awards.

    I've actually gotten 3-4 various Netflix-branded discs. At least two of them were Anchor Bay titles.
