Netflix Closes Center in Stamford, Conn.

You who live in New England might already have noticed this, but Netflix has closed the Stamford, CT distribution center, according to an archived article in the Stamford Advocate published 5/25/04. Netflix spokesman Brinton says you are now being served by the DC in Queens (Flushing, NY).

I don't think so. I think they're merely readjusting to the market.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that... I live in Stamford, and I've noticed that my movies take longer now that the return center is all the way in Hartford.

There is a return center in Hartford??? I live in West Hartford and hadn't noticed that. better check my envelope. But seriously, though, I've been with Netflix for 4.5 years and the service has gotted much, much faster since they went to their regional distribution center strategy. It's pretyyt impressive technologically when you consider that your queue can still be addrssed via distribution from smaller local DCs as opposed to the centralized warehouse.

OK ... here are two movie recommendation. "Open Your Eyes," the original Spanish movie that Vanilla Sky was a remake of; and "Sex and Lucia," also an excellent panish movie. These are excellent and if you like movies with some twists, you'll enjoy them. Let us know what you think.
