Friday is a USPS holiday--no Netflix

I'm sorry I didn't warn you earlier, but the United States Postal Service will not be delivering mail on Friday, November 11, so no Netflix! Aack!

Bleh. Not cool. Although... I haven't been returning DVDs as much, lately - I've been getting behind. I think I might bump my rental plan down a few notches...

Sometimes you just have to take a break.

I guess that explains why my DVDs aren't scheduled to get here until Monday then. I don't think I've ever got any on a Monday before.

They supposedly shipped a DVD to me on Friday. It was of those that was marked "shipping tomorrow" on Thursday.

I sent back DVDs on Thursday, they got them on Friday, and I had new DVDs arrive on Saturday. How did they do that with the post office holiday?

Netflix uses their own truck. They drop off a truck full of discs at the USPS in the evening. The USPS can sort the envelopes overnight and have them ready to deliver the next day, because the sorters work year-round, even when there are no deliveries.
